So often we can get caught up in the hectic pace of our lives that we often forget the true meaning of life. The featured image is a photo of our son’s art project, a still life that he did for his art class this year (he did a great job!). Still life art is an interesting concept. If you were to create a still life of your life as it is right now, what would you have as the caption? What would be the essence of your still life? Think of it as a slice of your life, in this moment in time. Would you like the picture, or would you want to change it? What would be in the picture? What if this were your last moment, what would you do differently?
We have just this moment in time. The past is gone, the future is yet to be. How do you want to be living your life? Are you satisfied with your relationships, your work, your health, and your finances? If you aren’t satisfied with a part of life, change it.
I lost my mother at a young age. My still life of her, of the day she passed away, was of a vibrant woman. She had wonderful relationships, was getting her master’s degree, and working as well. She was independent, nurturing, charismatic, beautiful, and intelligent.
We never know when our day will come, so make every day as beautiful as you can. Live your best life each and every day. Touch as many people as you can with the light you bring to this Earth. Make your still life a beautiful portrait of what a fulfilling and passionate life means to you.
Tomorrow will go by, and yet another day will pass. Are you living the life of your dreams? Are you having fun and experiencing happiness, peace, and abundance? Create a picture in your mind, a still life, of how you would like your life to be like and live it!
