How to Find Happiness

You can be happy, starting today. In fact, you can be happy this very moment. Happiness is a choice we make. It is not “out there” somewhere for us to find, it is already within us if we look. Make the choice to be happy no matter what, because happiness is available right now if we choose it.

Are You Happy?

Are you feeling happy right now? Is everything in your life just as you want it to be, or are you experiencing difficulties in your relationships, in your health, in your finances or career? How can you be happy if one or more aspects in your life aren’t “perfect?” How can you be happy if you’ve lost your job or someone you love or you are in debt? You can be happy. Everyone has responses, reactions, or feelings like anger, sadness, frustration, happiness, or joy which are focused externally – on your job, your relationships, or your health, for instance- but you can choose your inner state of being. Those things that happen outside of yourself are not you. You are still you despite all that may be happening around you. You can choose to be happy no matter what is going on around you – that’s your choice. You have the freedom to feel whatever you wish.

Happiness is a Choice

We all know someone who is miserable. When they walk into a room, the whole energy changes. Many choose to be that way. But just like choosing to be miserable is a choice, so is being happy. Happy people continually focus on positive and empowering thoughts. It’s a habit for them. They choose not to be a victim in life, but instead they have taken control over their outlook; they don’t blame the people and situations that they erroneously think have made them miserable and they instead choose to focus on the empowering aspects of life. It takes the same amount of energy to focus on being miserable as it does to focus on being happy. Choose happiness – the world will thank you (or at least your loved ones).
